In Honor of The Charleston 9: A Study of Change Following Tragedy

Description: This seminar, led by Dr. David Griffin, focuses on the tragic event of June 18, 2007, where nine firefighters lost their lives in a warehouse fire in Charleston, South Carolina. David, the engineer of the first-arriving engine, shares his firsthand account of the incident and its aftermath, including the impact on fire service organization, response, education, and training at an international level. The program also includes David’s research on organizational crisis and learning, offering insights applicable to a wide range of organizations.

Audience: Open to Firefighters, Police Officers, EMTs, other emergency service professionals, and their families.
