Response to Large Area Mulch Fire

Lakewood Fire Department is currently operating at a large area mulch fire. Ladder 5 and Engine 5 are in service for suppression.

Heavy machinery has been brought in to assist with minimizing the size of the piles to a more manageable level. The fire has been kept to the area of origin and no extension beyond.

Mutual aid from Herbertsville Fire Company No. 1 on location assisting with water supply and suppression.
