The Lakewood Fire Department is hosting Fire Prevention Day on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event will be held at Red Square which is in downtown Lakewood at 3rd Street and Clifton Avenue.
Fires caused by lithium-ion batteries have increased dramatically in Lakewood. These rechargeable batteries are found in electric bikes and scooters, cars, laptops, tablets, phones, and common household devices.
The event will take place on Sunday, July 30th, 2023, from 3pm to 6pm at the Firehouse located at 1350 Lanes Mill Road.
The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners along with Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr, is pleased to announce the appointments of volunteer firefighter Benjamin Carlin and volunteer support service member Meir Grossberger.
